Understanding Computer
Network?
The word computer
networks are familiar for us to hear this word, most people
aremengertri about the meaning of these words, but I would
like to give an explanationin my opinion.
The network is a
form of communication or transmission between devices with
each other. the word network itself not only to computers,
we can take the example for example network telephone etc.
The computer is a
form of tools or calculators, but now the computer is
no longer ascalculators, computers have been many changes. The
computer has now becomecommercial goods such as laptops, PCs, netbooks and
more. because of the many functions that can be performed by
the computer e.g. make tex, rotate video, edit images, create
images, create games, and also to play games of course. There
is also a computer that is used to store large databases such
as google, whose name the server computer.
From the above you
can already sense deduction notion of computer
networks, computer networking is a communication or transmission
between computer 1 with the other computer.
The Benefits Of The
Computer Network?
Benefits or
functionality of a computer network is a computer network in
General only for data exchange between computers to each
other, but now is no longer just for data exchange because wherever
there is a network of computers there is the internet.for
some people the internet is a routine that is very important
because with the internet we can get information very much
at all without having to go the kesuatupremises. the
Internet is actually also a reciprocity of Exchange data because there
isan interconnected computers namely computer server
and client.
As I take
the example of the Internet we use Google, one of the
world's leadingtechnology companies. We use the Internet Search
engine google using a computerconnected to the internet to
access google. We wrote down something on the googlesearch
engine will search the database server computer and google will
displaysomething appropriate which we search.
Various computer
networks?
Here I will
describe some of the kinds of my computer network group into
4 divisions, based on geographic coverage, transmission media,
the relationship of eachcomputer in the processing of data, the
latter based on the network topology.
1. On the basis
of Geographical Coverage
A. the LAN (local
area network)
LAN is the various computer
networks based on geographic or biyasa is called a
Local Area Network. for its own lan network coverage is
relatively smaller, for example the network of schools,
warnet (warung internet), Office or network biyasanya betweenadjacent buildings. the
distance to the network lan < 1 km. to the
lan network data transfer speed using 10, 100 Mbps
for the cable belden categori 5e. for wireless lannetworks also
have a 802.11 b/g/n to b's own speed 11 mbps, 54
mbps, g = n 150mbps, 2.4 GHz frequency and for a
= 54 mbps but the frequency of 5 GHz.
B. MAN
(metropolitan area network)
Computer network covers
the area of 1 MAN city and has a data transfer
speed is very high. network MAN biyasannya is a
combination of several network Lan. network coverage Man ranges
from 10 to 50 km.
C. WAN (wide area
network)
wan network covers a
vast geographical area, namely the State even continents. Wanis
a combination of MAN (metropolitan area network).
2. Based on the
transmission media
A. wired network (wired network)
the medium used for
transmission of UTP cable is a cable that is. wired networks are
in fact also serves to exchange of data/information from 1 computer
to another. as well as the transmission medium for such Internet in
the cafe.
B. wireless network (wireless)
wired networks and wireless networks in
the exchange of data/information different inusing media transmissinya. wireless networks using
the media of transmission of electromagnetic waves so that later we can
be a signal inside our computer. wirelessnetwork (wireless)
is very cheap because it can be used by many users at
once in 1tool her disadvantage is however. reflecting the
radiation to the human body because it uses electromagnetic
waves. examples of biyasannya in wireless wifi cornertelkomsel.
3. Based on the
role relationship of each computer in the process data
A client-server network.
client-server network is
a network consisting of the client computer and the server
computer. biyasannya server computer provides the data
source or sources of information or resources of the
internet and the client computer can only mengaksessdata/information/internet in computer
servers that are already determined by the server computer. in
the pengaplikasiaanya is used in an Internet Cafe-Internet
cafe.
B. peer to peer network
peer to peer network does
not recognize the existence of client and server becausethe
network is the computer can act as a server and clinet. as an
example there are two computer connected network card with another
computer we suppose the computer A and computer b. computer A
will take the data on computer B and computer B can
also retrieve data on computer a. so the computer can
be A client or the server and computer B as well. biyasa peer
to peer network known for itsworkgroup.
4. network
topology
network topology is
a way or concept connecting multiple
computers or many so it can connect. different network topology has a difference in
the speed of data transfer, security, cost of production and maintenance. each
type of topology has advantages and disadvantages of each. example
of topology biyasa topology we know is the bus, ring, mesh, tree, peer
to peer, hybird, star and others.
